Anyone know anything about a High backbone that lived on the Fort peck Sioux Reservation in Poplar Montana.? My paternal Grandmother was born to Ralph Walkingeagle Sr and Vida High Backbone, and my great-Grandmother ( Vida High Backbone ) fathers name is (High Backbone). I am making a family tree and the only information I can pull up are the census, and if anyone would like to see them just let me know... I did read the information about hump/High backbone on here but it wasn’t really the information I was looking for, I was wondering if anyone knew anything.?

I would like to suggest that you, try contacting the Author; Donovin Spraque. I believe, he is a direct descendant of Hump.

One of the few books on Fort Peck history is Kenneth Shields Jr.´s book "Fort Peck Indian Reservation Montana" (Arcadia publishing), but I haven´t found anything about High Backbone in it.
