Indeed an amazing warrior and leader, he was born for the life he led. Many do not realize he had counted more coups than Roman Nose. A true warrior to the end.

there is a photograph taken by the wife of George Bird Grinnell, of Little Wolf as an old man, with his wife. Reproduced in a number of books. Does the wife in the later photograph resemble any of the women in this S J Morrow 1879 image? A perfunctory glance suggests the woman seated far left above, but my eye isn't great.

This is by Fred Miller, sometime between 1890 and 1900. The same women but one offspring fewer?

I would suggest the one pictured in grahamew's post is indeed his nephew Laban Little Wolf instead of the former Sweet Medicine chief.
