Image of a supposed to be a Tonto

I found these images. My question about it is if the info on these two images is correct. Does anyone know who this fella was, and which tribe. In my believe I cannot match the specific facepaint connect to Apache at all. Besides that his face doesn’t look Apache at all. Does anyone have a clue?

In these he's identified as an Apache man at Palomas "on the Apache Indian Reservation."
