The first two pictures in your post are from BBHC's Petzoldt photo collection. Since they have no feature there to comment on the pictures, I do it here: The hand-tinted photo of MC is mirrored, the caption names MC as last in a "left to right" sequence. The "Mrs Reynolds" mentioned there must be the mother of Carolyn Reynolds Riebeth, author of "J. H. Sharp, Among the Crow Indians 1902-1910."
The second one has MC in the caption on the horse, which of course is not correct. The horseman could be Curly. This picture also is mirrored as can be seen by the lacing pins in the tipis which usually are pushed in from the right (most Indians were right-handed). This is a great photo!
I'm working on my husband family Tree he was named after Joseph medicine Crow. Joe medicine crow is my husband Great Uncle according to his family so I'm trying to link them. I've been using Familysearch.org My husband father was Robert Crow and his father was Auderene R Cow I found them in the 1940 cenus living in Ohio.
