The reknown American Indian Material Culture expert Mike Cowdrey just has got an essay online about a Blackfeet War Chief’s Shirt & Leggings of the 1830s. The wonderful shirt, leggings and some other items will be sold at Skinner Auctions, Boston. Links to essay and site are listed below:
In February of last year, at an estate sale in County Kilkenny, Ireland, some astonishing 19th century survivals reappeared from an attic trunk where they had been stored since the late-19th century. These included an 1830s Blackfeet War Chief's quilled & painted shirt & leggings, both trimmed with a heavy fringe of human hairlocks and yellow-dyed horse mane; and an 1840s Saulteau War Chief's turban-headdress.
I agree painted shirt and leggings are famous these days. I also buy best workout clothes from online at great discount!! Recently my friend shared with me a reliable site Carobon38 and I would like to order my clothing from there too.
