I am in the process of designing a doll of Native American design. She has been in the works for over a year and "calls" to me occasionally as to what I need to work on for her. I see her in a very specific way. The dress is finally designed, I see I must include in the beading the elements of Sun, Water, Mother Earth and Fire. The thought of the Turtle or the Thunder-bird is also there but is unclear. She is specifically for me and will be in no way represented as being crafted by a Native American, only in that fashion. She is very important to me and I am using only natural materials. The beading will be on the dress of tanned doe skin and her moccasins. Does anyone know the best way to do this? I do not have a beading loom. I am using the smallest Czech glass beads as she only stands 18" tall and is similar to a Barbie doll. Any suggestions would be welcome. Thank You.
