Cheyenne tipi and....By Carter, mid to late 1860s??? Little War Eagle, the Pride of the Tribe, by Underwood of Baltimore, 1889. Is that Red Shirt in the bonnet at the left? Indian man... Arapaho? Unidentified?

I agree it looks like Red Shirt in the Underwood photo, Grahame.
And about the last picture you posted... it´s late, and maybe I have watched too many Comanche photos over the last days... but he reminds me of a well known Penateka chief...
Have to think about it again tomorrow...

I think you are right about Red Shirt, and I have the photo of the three young men also as Arapaho. The third one (Indian man) I have only Northern Shoshone man... The last picture, the close up, Tall Mandan perhaps?
