Welcome also from me, jasper4!
I´m always more than happy when members of American Indian nations join our site, because it is their history we are discussing about and we can learn the most from people like you.
Best wishes
Dietmar

Welcome jasper4! I am glad that you joined our bunch. I hope you tell us a lot of new stories... I do not tell stories, I know of my history of my People. respectfully I say this how are the cossacks the same with my People. I dont understand, I know in europe there is a large interest within the euro to act out some sort of illusion of what it means to be Indian. Imitation is a form a flattery, but I at times get a tad angry at those say in Sedona AZ who take our culture only to make money and it is WRONG. So do not take my words as negative to your venture, just know I am a warrior case in point Vietnam, thus this does not make me any better than anyone. I have lived long enough to see alot of things good and bad. Thus thank you for your welcome. Jasper

Hey CUZ!!!! Small world.....isn't it !!!! I have heard of you though we have never met! Wasn't aware you moved to New Mexico, thought you were still in Houston or up in Ohio. I live near Cache Creek south of Walters. I am a private reserved kind of man.....not much on talking. I am Southern (Moapa Band) Paiute, Welsh- Irish, and Chiricahua (Fort Sill) Apache. Through marrage I am related to the Poemoceah and Nahquaddy family's of Comanche people. If you ever this way for Pow-wow....look me up, I not hard to find! Then we talk! G.T. Mithlo

My sister brought over a disk of the ceremony dedicating a marker monument on Ft. Sill to Eugene Mithlo, A Comanche/Chiricahua who died last Jan 09. Eugene was a Veteran of the Army and had worked at Ft. Sill for 40 years. I knew I was going to miss it when I took my trip to Montana. I wished I could have attended. His Granparents were P.O.W. held here at Ft. Sill, and if I remember right his Father Bill Watson Mithlo, was born as prisoner at Ft. Marion in Florida! Family and Friends sung an Apache song in front of the marker, After which, I visited it and know a cousin his Mothers' Comanche Penetuka side. Later I went to Medicine Bluff with other Vets that night. Thus Eugene is the only Mitlho I knew real well. My first name is not mike thus your still a cousin. When in OKLA I would like to get together with you and still talk. In I too am not a talker or social type. I found this site and the pics are very intriguing of the 'old ones' I know of whom you speak and Michael still is houston, the last I heard Laa'de'ste Jasper
