I'm trying to track down an article by John S. Gray titled "Long Horse Leads His Last War Party", it ran in an 1964 edition of Chicago's Westerners Brand Book (21).
I tried contacting the Chicago Westerners, but without luck (their website is off the air as well). Who could help me to a copy?
Thanks, Carlo

Hello Carlo I do not have the article you are looking for. But if you are or will be in Chicago, I recommend checking out John S. Gray's archives. www.newberry.org/collections/FindingAids/gray/Grayb.htmlThey are kept at in the special collections of the Newberry Library in Chicago...about 27 boxes of meticulous notes. I only had 2 hours to go through one folder on my great great grandmother Eagle Woman That All Look At/ Mrs. Galpin and was in awe of his notes. I hope to return someday and spend more time. good hunting, Barbara

Carlo I ran into the same problem when I tried to locate another Gray article in the Chicago Westerners Brand Book... old web site, etc. I ended up obtaining it through Interlibrary Loan. If you can do that through your local public or academic library that would be the way to go. If you can't get it, let me know. If you give me all the info I will get it through ILL and pass it on to you. emily

Thank you Barbara, great find. I will certainly put this on my "to do" list.
And thank you Emily, for your very kind offer. I'll try to get it through them myself first, but if I'm unlucky I'll send you a PM.
Carlo
