Great info, I have always thought that this chief was the famous White Mountain chief, had no doubt as he was also so identified in Grenville Goodwin's "Western Apache raiding and warfare" (which includes testimony by Diablo's daughter)

Welcome Jeroen! Here two unidentified photographs of the Apaches. I think person standing on the right on pic no.1 is Chief Pedro. There are other assumptions?

Hi, there is a lot of Apache images has been added on SIRIS! Use search there. (I've used "scouts" as General Keyword). For example: Two Scouts on Horseback n.d. Portrait of Four Men (Scouts?); Three Men with Face Paint; Two Holding Guns and One Pouring Tiswin from Jar; All in Native Dress n.d. Two Apache Scouts, in Native Dress 1881

thanks, Jeroen. Good shot from Camillus S. Fly, I think. But why the picture is put not in Old photos - Apache? Chief Josh (Go-Zhozh) from San Carlos. He was subsequently enlisted as an Indian Scout to pursue Apache Kid and his associates. Photographed at the U.S. Indian Congress of the Trans-Mississippi and International Exposition in Omaha, 1898.
