Last month I presented a Zoom talk for the Old Pueblo Archaeology Center about how the Apache warriors told their side to Eve Ball. A couple of archive centers have decided to include that information of the youtube video in their Eve Ball files or files about the efficacy of oral history.
Should any of your archives or museums be interested you can Google Apache Warriors tell their side to Eve Ball by Lynda A. Sanchez

I am continually amazed at what she accomplished in the era before computers. Please let me know if you have any questions.

Juan Pedro, aka Pedro Juan, and Juan Seegotsi. His mother was Yuan. He had two daughter. The mothers were different. He died of Phthisis pulmonalis on April 29, 1892 in Mount Vernon Barracks, Alabama. He was a corporal in Company I. Here photo of Yuan's tomb This thread is quite old but naiches2, would you happen to still have the image of Yuan's tomb?? It is no longer available by the link. I am a direct descendant of Yuan and Pedro and I would really appreciate being able to see it. Thank you!

Juan Pedro (?) daughter Annie (1889 – 1941), wife of David Kazhe <button disabled="" class="c-attachment-insert--linked o-btn--sm">Attachment Deleted</button> Again, Thank you very much! I have found some records as well. I did not have PJuan's military papers though. I have just recently started researching and have Census records for David and Annie and a couple of pictures of Annie. I just received "From Fort Marion to Fort Sill" today and found some new names in there tied to my Kazhe family members. I appreciate your time and consideration that you have shared with me what you have found.

Looking at Beshe (father-in-law of Naiche), Hao-zinne his daughter and Nah-bay a Nednhi like Beshe who fled from the reservation in May 1885 with Geronimo and Naiche, as Beshe and his family, I wonder if Nah-bay could be a son of Beshe and Tascenola, his older wife. Of course, if I am right, La-zi-yah would be too a son of Beshe.
Beshe was born before 1820 and Nah-bay circa 1845, La-zi-yah about five years before. Tascenola was born about 1825 or before. So ages corresponded. They lived together and they all surrendered with the last Chiricahuas and Naiche. Looking at Beshe, Hao-zinne and Nah-bay faces they were with a circle face with thin bones apparently. i think Nah-bay looks like Beshe.
Your guess?

I don't agree with your assumption. I propose to compare two independent sources. From List of POW Oct. 1886: Bish-i – about forty La-zai-yah – about forty-six Na-pi – about forty-five
From Chiricahua Census Roll 1884: Bi-she, age 50 Geronimo’s band Laziyah, age 35 Naiche’s band Nahbay, 45 Kaahtenay’s band

Hi, with all the sharing in this forum and reading again and again, I think when i made a list of the Chiricahua's local groups of 1855, I forgot some. 3 in the Chihenne's band (see chihennes thread) 1 in the Chokonen's band (the old one of Yrigollen, at this time led by Aguirre his brother) 1 in the Nednhi's division (I think Natiza led another local group, different from Lacéres) I also change the Chiefs and subchiefs. I made a map to see better what I mean. their territories were not with boundaries, it just mark their favorite camp's location. Attachments:

coeurrouge Thank you so much! The map and the infos on the Chiricahua gotas are excellent! Could you consider to start a separate thread devoted to the issues of the organization of the Chiricahua bands and the distribution of their local groups? I would be very grateful, because it is a fascinating topic.
