A nice image of Flat Iron, said to be a medicine man and participant in the battle at the Little Bighorn:

This is John Red Feather, son of Flat Iron... Is this by any chance the same Red Feather, who is the brother of Black Shawl, Crzay Horse's wife?

Hi Jeroen, no, I don't think that your pic shows Black Shawls brother. As far as I know is this the right man: Sitting next to Red Feather is Father Eugene Buechel, a german Jesuit. The photograph was shot in 1947. Greetings Gregor

In the 1910 United States Census, for Peter Runsabove, Flat Iron is listed as 81 yoa in this household. Is this the same one. How are they related.

Following for Flat Iron, who is the father of John Redfeather who was my husband's great grandpa. Is this the same Flat Iron or were there other Flat Iron's. John Redfeather's father was Flat Iron and mother was Prairie Chicken. Thank you Janet
