Greetings from France , I had very often seen the photo of Hiding Bear on Pinterest but this man was called Rushing Bear and it was said that he had beaten the colonel Baker'troops in the beginning of the years 1850 ! Despite my numerous researches I had never found an account about such a fight so the photo on Pinterest is evidently mis-labelled ! So,who is he really ? Best regards !

Thank you for reply mr Bray , I am happy to learn that No Neck belong to the Siksicela because before your post I had him as a member of the Kiglaska under Loud Voice Hawk ! I had read also elsewhere that No Neck succeeded to Loud Voice Hawk after his death in 1968 ! It is not clear for me because I had also read that after the death of LVH many members of his band went to other bands ! So I am a little lost ! Best Regards

In september 1871 , différent bands left the agency to spend the winter and hunt on the Republican River ! Among them a band of the Brule tribe which had an organization including Spotte Tail himself but also the headmen Two Strike , Wind ,Black Crow , Roaster ,Crooked Foot and a No Flesh may be our man during a stay at the Brule agency but I am not sure !

Greetings from France , I had recently found this picture of a man apparently called Two Bears ! Beside the photo we could read that he was involved in the 1863 battle of WHITESTONE hill ,he survived and went back to Standing Rock where he served as an interpreter at the july 1867 Treaty commission meeting et Fort Rice . Later he signed the Laramie Treaty in 1868 and took part in the LBH fight ! But I have a big doubt because I cannot find his name in the list of the treaty signatories ( there is a "Two Bear" Yanktonnai but surely not our man ) and of the participants at the LBH . So who his this man on the photo ?

Greetings from France , What is known about Little Bald Eagle ,the man we can see on the picture above ? Is he the same man who ,according to the genealogical tree given by Lone Bull to Donald Collier ,was at the head of a big family 7 sons ( 6 belonging to the Skokpa , one to the Kiyuska proper) and a daughter wife of Pawnee Killer . If it is the same Little Bald Eagle, I would like to learn more about this man :Tribe (not specified by Lone Bull ) and all what is possible about his life !

Greetings from France ! I have several questions concerning the Little Wound family : Among the different family trees given by Lone Bull to Donald Collier we find a tree with a Little Wound ( who seems to be the father ) married with a Hunkpapa woman who could be a sister or a relative of Sitting Bull ; It seems that this couple had 4 sons (an other Little Wound ,Yellow Bull ,Running Horse and Bear Bull ) and a daughter ! The son called Little Wound was married with Chief Woman a Pawnee Killer's daughter ; We can also noticed that we find some son's names in the famous Bull Bear's genealogy (evidently Bear Bull but also Yellow Bull a son of Self Met a brother of Bull Bear )! In the thread dedicated to Little Wound I have never seen the names of these four supposed sons of the chief ! -So, was this Little Wound (the father) the famous Kuhinyan chief and was he really married withe a Sitting Bull's relative ? -Was the son called Little Wound the man promoted by Pawnee Killer to become the leader of the band when the chief was getting old ? -What is known about the three other sons ? ! Best regards b

Greetings from France , I had read somewhere that the name of the Spotted Tail's brother killed in 1866 ( may be 1867 ) was "Blue Around the Face " (but it is not sure that he had been a real brother of the Brulé chief )Best regards !

Hi Hreinn , First I thank you one more time for what you know ! concerning your question Spotted Crow and Ashes (and their brother Bull Head ) were the sons of Corn (Unkce-Yuta band )and the Crazy Horse's uncles (half brothers of his step mothers )! It was in their camp that Crazy Horse took refuge to cure the wound inflicted by No Water after the Black Buffalo woman episode . Spotted Crow and Ashes were the heart of the wicoti called Sunkanazhin So , Cut Ear could ( possibly ) be only their grand father (through one of Corn's spouse )
