A big welcome to all of you, great to have some new members here. Hope you can add some information and opinions from your perspective. Greetings Dietmar Greetings Dietmar. Thanks for your welcome. How are things in your neck of the woods ? Off Rez. My folks were in the military and settled near the base away from our people. I was fortunate to meet transplanted military Indian kids from other tribes and form friendships, some still existing. My best friend is a Lumbee-Catawba-Anglo heritage whose father was in the military. I'm always interested in meeting Indian people. I'm a working class family man

Wow that is interesting. Good to meet you.
I've met a few Apache, but can't remember much about them as that was decades ago.
How are things in Moscow ?

Currently I live in an area near where Siouan Monacan, Occaneechi and Saponi live/lived and was wondering if their dialect was close to the Ioway, Otoe and Osage since these people were east of the Mississippi. I recall reading something about the Oneota culture that was associated with mound building .

Hello Kathy, I am also a descendant of Cornstalk, through Hezikiah Adkins also, but through Hezikiah's son, Elias. He is also my 7th GGF. Anyway, here are two pictures that I found on the net, no idea if either is an accurate portrayal or not though... Sadly enough murdered while he attempted to make peace.

I'm Pellethie. My people are Shawano, but I'm a good distance from most of them.
Thanks for allowing me a place to sit with you
