This week's newsletter from the National Archives is titled, "Two Hundred Years of Native Relations." Article: archives-20973928.hs-sites.com/two-hundred-years-of-native-relationsThe article has links to many online records, such as treaties, industrial surveys, Census and vital records, boarding school records, and much more. You may also want to scroll down to the bottom of the page and take a look at the "History Hub" which has a forum called "Native American Records" where you can post questions and get answers from the National Archives staff. Best wishes, Diane

You are not being ignored. I'm sure many have read your posts on this topic. I don't know the answer to your question and, apparently, others do not either.
Best wishes, Diane

The Smithsonian has changed its website since the photos were posted. They can all still be found, but you'll have to look them up individually at www.si.edu/collections. Everyone please note: ProBoards will not post your photos unless the web address begins with "https://" indicating the photos are on a secure site. Best wishes, Diane

Good question! ProBoards is not allowing links to websites that do not have a security certificate; all links need to start with "https://" or they will not show.
I tried to find a couple of the photos from the first post in this thread, but it appears they have (once again) changed the Smithsonian Institution's website and addresses. I may be able to find and restore some, but it will take time.
It would be great for those who posted to find the new web addresses for their photos and edit their posts.
If you have photos on your computer, you can always send them to Dietmar or me so we can put them on our server and give you an address to use for posts.
Best wishes, Diane

Welcome, dominique!
I studied French in high school and college. I can usually read it well enough to understand what is being said, but I don't think I could write well.
I hope you enjoy your time here. We have many Europeans participating, so I am sure someone can help if you need it.
Best wishes,
Diane

I have tried everything I can think of to try to recover photos from the website Jinlian used but without luck. Unfortunately, Jinlian last posted here in 2013. I have written to her last known email address to ask her to post or send me the photos. If others, such as Henri, saved her photos or know which ones she posted, please let us (Dietmar or me) know. In the meantime, I found two photos at the Library of Congress: www.loc.gov/collections/edward-s-curtis/?q=Two+Leggings and many more on the Smithsonian site: www.si.edu/search/collection-images?edan_local=&edan_q=Two%2BLeggings&. I hope this is somewhat helpful. I'll let you know if I hear from Jinlian. Diane

Long Wolf is not forgotten. Here is a link to an article from Portugal (in English) that gives a brief explanation of how Long Wolf's grave in London was found. It says there were three NAs buried in Brompton Cemetery, but it doesn't discuss the other two. www.portugalresident.com/london-calling-41/
