A compilation of William J. Bordeaux' out-of-print books was recently published, see details here: www.custersconqueror.com/William was the grandson of famous trader James Bordeaux and is best known for his book "Conquering the Mighty Sioux". A while back Rev. Raymond Bucko mentioned on his website that he was working on an introduction to a re-issue of "Conquering the Mighty Sioux" by the University of Nebraska Press, but that information is no longer on his website. It is still stated here: www.creighton.edu/ccas/socant/research/facultyresearch/index.php, but maybe the re-issue was cancelled. Carlo

Carlo A year or two ago Ray Bucko asked me to be a critical reader for his introduction on the W.J. Bordeaux book. We spent a number of phone calls discussing and revising the work. My sense was that UN Press was going to publish the new edition and I thought it would have been out by now. Not sure what happened. maybe I'll send him an email or check with the press. (I just got my new catalog to day in the mail---I'll check that too. Em
