Hi Everyone
Looking for some help...we have a photo called Spotted Tail's Delegation 1880 by CM Bell...the Smithsonian lists the two white men in the photo as being one or two of four different names. Do any of you experts have the photo or know who exactly the two men are? The white men I mean? We have the photo and are using it for a poster but need to correctly identify the white guys. The say one is a Bordeaux but we dont think so.
Thanks. Hope this made sense!

Miyelo, you mean this photo?: As far as I know these are the IDs: standing back L-R: Agent Pollock or Major Angus, Louis Roubideaux sitting L-R: Black Crow, Iron Wing, Spotted Tail, Coarse Voice, White Thunder I believe it is Roubideaux, because he is identified in another photo at Carlisle standing in the back far left :

From Frank Goodyear's "Red Cloud", page 50:
"For three weeks in the spring of 1880, Red Cloud accompanied a group known as the Indian School Committee on a visit to three destinations in the east....Led by Major ANDRUS [note: not Angus], the head of the Lakota agency known as Yankton..."
On page 51 is a photo of the Pine Ridge delegation in the same setting as the photo above.
