Fillupe sent this great photo of the 1891 Wild West Show in England. He says some of the men are survivors of the 1854 Battle of Balaclava ("Charge of the Light Brigade" fame) and others are managing members of the show staff. Fillupe's great grandfather, George Crager is in the back row, 5th from the right. He would appreciate it if you would identify others in this photo. Thanks, Fillupe!

This seems to be a Nate Salsbury photograph.
I believe the first Indian from left standing in the back row with a feather-bonnet (6th from left) is Black Heart.
8th from left, standing behind with a hat, is John Burke, Cody´s press agent.
The next Indian with feather-bonnet (10th from left in the back row) is perhaps No Neck. Next to him is Buffalo Bill Cody.
The Indian with bonnet standing far right could be Yankton Charlie.
I have to think about the others, not sure...

If this is the tour with the Ghost Dancers, is that Short Bull to Cody's left?

I believe the Indians where from the Ghost Dance group, recruited out of Pine Ridge by Cody, Burke and Crager weeks after the Massacre. I also recognise that one individual as Short Bull as ID'd by Grahamew. I know from written accounts of this tour Kicking Bear was also with this group, could that be him next to Short Bull? From what I've learned Short Bull & Kicking Bear keep close company during this tour and they were both difficult to deal with during the tour. Thanks for your comments . . .

I don't think it's Kicking Bear, but I agree with Dietmar about No Neck and possibly Black Heart. I'm less sure about Yankton Charlie.
Out of interest, hiow tall was Cody? He seems to tower above most of the people in this photo - even if he is wearing heels! Unless he's standing on a box!

This is from a comparison of Mark Twain and BB: In 1878, Twain wrote to American journalist and poet Bayard Taylor, describing himself as five-feet eight and a half inches tall, weighing about 145 pounds with dark brown hair and red mustache, full face with very high ears and light gray beautiful beaming eyes and “a damned good moral character.”
In contrast, Cody was nearly six-feet tall (six-feet one inch in mid-life), and weighed about 180 pounds. His long, dark brown hair flowed over his shoulders and “he looks at your through [brown] eyes clear and sharp, truthful and honest as the sun.” Journalists often commented on his physique, observing how handsome he was. “[H]is fine, intelligent, strong face show a man ready to counsel or command or to cope with any adversary he may meet.” Source: www.bbhc.org/pointsWest/PWArticle.cfm?ArticleID=181
