Does anyone know where I could buy prints by the Cheyenne artist Richard West?

Does this board have some sort of censorship device on it? I ask this, because when I first tried to post this message, using the shortened version of the artist's first name, it came out as "thingy", rather than the word that I typed!

Sorry, Gary. The boards come with a set of censored words. I've fixed it so that his nickname can be used.

Gordie
Thanks. That is the same artist, but there was only one picture and it didn't seem to be for sale.
His pictures have been used in a lot of books.

I thought that it was funny really. My children were amused by it.

Yeah, I have been searching high and low for Richards work my self...Even though I am in the Native Art field,it's been a tough one to research. I believe most of his work available to the public is in a museum collection, but I have not tracked down just where yet. His full name by the way should be Walter Richard (thingy) West if that helps...

Acording to the Oklahoma Historical Society-"His work is held by Bacone College, the University of Oklahoma, the Southern Plains Indian Museum in Anadarko, and the Gilcrease Museum in Oklahoma and by the Bureau of Indian Affairs, the Indian Arts and Crafts Board, and the Museum of the American Indian in Washington, D.C. " (http://digital.library.okstate.edu/encyclopedia/entries/W/WE015.html) You may want to keep an eye on askart.com.There has been a piece of his for sale for some time at the savvycollector.com/ web site
