"Bear in the Water" - there should be his signature in the agreement signed between the tribe and the US authorities in August 1873.
BTW, the Crow delegation was in Washington in October 1873 (and a few days after, in the beginning of November, was in NY too) , not 1872 - can somebody change the date in the thread's name?
