I am back again looking for some help regarding my own genealogy According to my dna matches , i have connections to several families
It all suggests that a soldier , either confederate or union served and fought at the tail end of the civil war in south carolina 1865 under general sherman during his campaign . Im showing descendancy from a man who may have been from three to four dif families. Rencountres, renvilles , campbells and possiby crawfords. Ive got kin not just in sisseton, but lower brule and other places as well. I have a tree , and ive also got a gedmatch profile and dna kit. Im related to someone by the last name of wells . If someone can help me determine who this soldier may have been id greatly appreciate it if their schedule allows it. Up until recently i was ready to throw in the towel and give up but to me its unwise. Ive been seaching for 30 yrs
