The only information I have, as you probably do, is: "W. Peppets, Art Gallery, Homer, Michigan." Is this the same man?

There is an unidentified photograph at ebay right now... I wonder if this could be Red Cloud? What do you think?

Looks more than a little bit like him...I wish it was in bigger format (I guess I can be sure about the identification only after seeing the mouth detail).
Dietmar, how the seller has labelled it?

The mouth detail or the picture? Guess I'll try the first one.... What I don't understand is why the....the seller showed the feet detail only! Update: I've tried asking if I can get a close-up of the face. Let's see what happens...

Here he is: I must confess that now I'm even more unsure: the cheekbones and the face's shape are the same...can't tell about the lips: I've seen photograph of Red Cloud having his mouth's corners quite lowered, but I can't see the detail of his characteristic upper lip... Ok, I guess it's time to sleep now.

jinlian,
my initial thought on seeing the image was that yes this was indeed Red Cloud, but as a result of your bigger scan, { you've done a very good job on that by the way, } I'm sure it isn't. Yes there are a lot of similarities, the bone structure etc, but in the end I would say it was someone else.
Dietmar,
with regards to the identity of the man at the head of this board, I've no idea who he is, but I would say it is the same man in the two photographs. In the first he looks a little puzzled by what the photographer is asking him to do, and this has altered the structure of his face. In both photos he wears the same neck choker, and from what we can see from the 2nd photo, the same moccasin design on his moccasin's. On the other hand the bone breastplate seems to be a different design and he is obviously wearing a different shirt, so one would presume that the two photos were taken at different times, nevertheless, I would say who ever he is, he is the same man.

... I agree to both of you. Not Red Cloud, but I´m sure I´ve seen the face before. Sigh... I can´t remember.

Okay, I got it!
The alleged Red Cloud photo (reply #2 and #6) is instead Mad Wolf, Southern Cheyenne.
