Rebecca Hornbuckle Wolf, whose mother was birdclan Cherokee, married William Carter. [place and date unknown, but probably in NC about 1795. They had ten children. I have the descendants of all the children except William jr, Wilson, and Viney. [From the Applications to the Guion Miller Roll in Fold3] I do not have Rebecca's parents or her birthdate/place or deathdate/place. Her children applied for the Siler Roll and were denied because Siler did not want to return to NC to interview the 3 dozen citizens of Haywood county who swore in affidavits that the Carter family, through Rebecca, had Cherokee heritage. I have copies of the affidavits.
Anyone who wants to help, I am on Facebook [Marie Brito, photo is a little girl with long dark hair] and am on Gedmatch: M185010 and have a facebook group: ''Rebecca Hornbuckle + William Carter'' The group is full of people who are my DNA matches or who connect with me via a paper trail. We are all looking for more information on our Rebecca, whom I think was related to the Cherokee man named Charlie Hornbuckle, and also to the Cherokee woman named Nancy Bolin. The facebook page has copies of most of my research files, with more to be uploaded in April of 2016.
