The painting below has been in my family for a while. Trying to get more information on who it might be. The word Ogalalla is on the bottom of the painting, but when I search i don't find a chief Ogalalla. Guessing maybe it is Ogalalla tribe??  |

Anyone have any input on who this might be? Did i post something wrong or in the wrong forum. Please let me know if I have and will fix it. Would really like to give my dad a little history on this.

I don't think anyone here can help you, since it's just a relatively modern drawing of a western theme, seems to me a generic depiction of a plains Indian. Might be copied from a photo of an Oglala chief, but doubt it. It's not 'native made' nor does it seem to have any historical value. I may be wrong, but I don't think you'll find any information on the subject in the drawing.

I agree this is not a historic picture it seems they want to name it after the Oglala Nation
