Hello, I am Chihene Nde from my fathers ,fathers side and my fathers mother was Apache from both parents as well. I am having a little bit of trouble here and feel like I am going in circles. My grandmother father and family owned Valenzuela Ranch 85 acres in Tyrone New Mexico. He was tricked into selling it for just 85.00 and a truck it was used for the main water source where the ranch was after it was basically taken. His name was Felix Elias Valenzuela he was married to Bernarda Maldonado Madrid her mother died 3 days after giving birth to her She was born to Ramona Baldanado Madrid (her birth records were destroyed in church fire ) and Celeso Lopez . Also before Bernarda died she gave a portion of land to the pastor/priest having good faith he would keep it safe for her children and the church considered it a donation . Felix Elias was born to Felix Valenzuela and Luz Elias. Here is the confusing part for me not only was he born to a Felix Valenzuela but he was also a cousin to a Felix "scout" Valenzuela. my great grand father was sometimes called slim or huerro he was 6'4" any help would be greatly appreciated also my grandmother said her dad was being taught at a young age medicine by his father. Any leads or help is appreciated she is still living and sharp as a tack... I am learning so much from both grandparents, but she only knows that her entire life she was tools she was Indio and her mother used to say she was bandit to not get robbed as they were ranchers and taking days long trips with sheep to market. They lived near Zuni and would sometimes take turquoise or shell necklaces for them

Please be very patient. Do not be discouraged if you do not receive an immediate reply. Come and check back here occasionally, and look for an answer. There are people on this forum who are tremendously knowledgeable about the Apache (Nde) family histories. These people only visit sometimes, but they do come here! So just be patient and watch to see if you receive a helpful reply.
I am not Apache, but members of the Nde do use this site.
I send you best wishes, dT

Tyrone is south of silver city if I can remember thus there you may find more as you have surnames and such. Or to be blunt what is it you seek. send me a private message on this.

Hello, yes you are correct with Tyrone, my grandmother( Maria "mary" Madrid Valenzuela mother was born 1937 and is living born in New Mexico to Maria bernarda Baldanado Madrid believed to have been changed from Little dear born 1911 ,and father was Felix Elias Valenzuela (son of Felix Valenzuela and Felix Elias was being taught medicine by father - there was also a cousin Felix "scout" Valenzuela- which is making me track my grandmas tribe so hard) Not sure on that her records wer burned in the church ... Bernadra mother died 3 days after giving birth to @ age 26? Bernarda was married to celestial Madrid ( who was adopted at a unknown age by a man named Felipe Villareal. Also celestro Lopez was left many acres by his father and believed the church in silver city was keeping his land records safe for him and later learned while he was still living the church in silver city considered those deeds that were supposed to be held for safe keeping as a donation of land to the church. Which was not truth ... My grandfathers(Luis Trujillo rodriguez grandmother is edguvien "Vicki" Lopez married Pablo trujillo and her daughter Helen was buried in the backyard of family home....near Apache creek... People would always come on property and dig for pottery, arrow heads and Apache tears. Well my great cousin Connie Perelta (Cordova) Helen's (the one whom was mother was buried in my great great grandmas back yard (because she lived there also) said that a arciologist possibly from Chicago or something came and they dug up a huge portion of the land and came across Indian remains and had to put it all back.. That land is still in my family in silver city, the other part is owned by my grandpas other cousin Sam Trujillo he owned the buffalo bar there and has a lot of land because Eloy his father had his mom Vicki let him buy more from her as well as his sisters who married off he since died and Sam is in his 80's but Joe Trujillo lived past 106 and lived in silver city his daughter Paublita is 92 and is still living...
My my grandmother Mary and grandfather Luis are still living. I believe one of them is Chiricahua and I am trying to track the other ... Any help is appreciated best regards
