I received a note from Alan Knight, the director/producer of a new documentary called, "Buffalo Bill in Scotland." It will be "a documentary feature film about the American icon Buffalo Bill and his Wild West show which visited Scotland in 1891-92 and 1904. "The film will be a mix of interviews, archive material and high quality animation, depicting the events surrounding Bill Cody's Scottish tours. The material is being adapted from a book, 'Your Fathers the Ghosts - Buffalo Bill's Wild West in Scotland' by Tom F. Cunningham, a publication packed full of fascinating anecdotes and cultural exchanges." I'd love to see some evidence to say that the vest was actually Rain's. Hope I'm wrong but I thought it was a piece of marketing. Rain had, probably underserved, a reputation and saying something belonged to him might have been a way to sell it on.
I have to admit, I used to love going to Kelvingrove to see their small collection of Plains items.
