Elliott and Fry were major photographers of the London artistic, political, social and scientific scenes from the 1863, based intitally in Baker Street. Their key works were made in the Victorian and Edwardian periods but the firm continued until it was taken over by Alexander Bassano in 1963. However, during World War II, bombs destroyed many of the negatives held by the company; the surviving negatives are currently held in London's National Portrait Gallery.
When Buffalo Bill's Wild West Show visited London, many of its luminaries were photographed by Elliott and Fry and the resultant works occasionally come up for auction at various sites. I believe these photos were made during the 1887 visit.

Grahame: about "Blue Horse", Shoshone, I think I have to correct my earlier statement about this character not being related to the Oglala Blue Horse. In fact, in one of C. Eastman's books there's a reference about BH and his family joining the Wild West Show. The character in the photograph could have been a son or nephew to BH.

The woman in the centre appears to be John Nelson's wife, Jenny; the little girl in the buckskin dress is Red Rose; the other standing woman in the buckskin dress is - I think - Ellie Irving White Fawn and baby Unidentified With Annie Oakley in the tree... Dietmar has pointed out Black Elk resting his head on his hand at the left of the image.
