No problem on that too. By the way, is there a date for the Big Turkey photograph?

1912, according to the Bienecke Library. Then again, the other print in that library from the same photographer is of Iron Shell and it's dated 1908. You can just about make out the same backdrop.

Bernie I add my welcome to Dietmar's. You're work is very good--and your gift of profits sure is nice. I got a real kick out of the music on your site. I always liked that John Anderson song (but then I'm a country music fan) and Paul Revere from my youth cracked me up.

A photo we all know and whileI know it's far too big, clarity is wonderful. Left to right: Brave Chief, Eagle Chief, Knife Chief, Young Chief (all Pawnee), William F. Cody, American Horse, Rocky Bear, Flies Above and Long Wolf (all Lakota). Taken on Staten Island in 1886.

The attached image is now on sale at ebay, labeled as "Chief American Horse, Sioux, 1919". My best guess about the man's identity would be Tom American Horse, but I'd like to hear other opinions. Thanks , ‹à p.s. Thanks to Jeroen for uploading the giant-size version of the Wild West Show photo with the American Horse detail. Attachments:

Thanks for this new image - another evidence that Tom and Sam American Horse were in fact one and the same person.

And this one, labeled by Kansas Memory as "Group portrait of an unidentified Pottawatomie Indian family. Between 1880 and 1920" :
