RARE WHITE BISON CELEBRATED
Dozens of Native Americans wore the traditional garb, sang songs and beat drums on a farm in celebration of the birth of one of the world's rarest animals - a white bison.
The miracle calf was officially named Yellow Medicine Dancing Boy at the elaborate ceremony at the Mohawk Bison Farm in Goshen in the state's northwestern hills. It was born June 16, 2012 at the farm of fourth-generation farmer Peter Fay.
Many Native Americans consider white bison a symbol of hope and unity; some consider their births sacred. Experts say white bison are as rare as 1 in 10 million.
Yellow Medicine Dancing Boy is not an albino, and Fay said DNA testing confirmed the animal's bloodlines were pure and there was no intermingling with cattle. - Times Wire Reports.

Thousands attended a naming ceremony to celebrate the birth of Lighting Medicine Cloud, during a powerful thunderstorm that marked the arrival of the birth at Lakota Ranch in Greenville Texas. A rare male non-albino white buffalo considered sacred among the Lakota Sioux, and a true spiritual blessing. Said to occur only once in 10 million births according to the National Bison Association. The all nations buffalo belonged to everybody all around the world. Arby Little Soldier believes that the animal’s existence is a powerful message, but its meaning is not yet known.
Owner Arby Little Soldier Great, Grand son of Sitting Bull (Lakota Sioux) arrived from out of town and found the sacred animal killed and skinned and stripped of the meat on Monday, April 30th by poachers. The buffalo calf’s mother (Buffalo Women) was also found dead on the ranch the next day and believed to be poisoned. The animal’s father (Gentle Ben) was killed by lighting on April 3rd. Little Soldier said the animal was a symbol of hope and he would bury all three animals together along a tree line.
There is a time for life and a time for death. My little boy went on home. His mother went on home. His dad went on home. They’re all together, and God bless them. This legend will go on forever.

Lighting Medicine Cloud was murdered and stolen for the meat and fur. This buffalo belonged to you and me and everybody all around the world. It was a nations buffalo. We were all very fortunate to have a white buffalo born in our generation to enjoy and it was taken away. Owner Arby Little Soldier said, "All of these buffalos are mine. But Lighting Medicine Cloud belongs to everybody all around the world." recommended by the tribal elders.
Now the creator bless us with another white buffalo. And we must take care of this rare and sacred animal as human beings. However this buffalo belong's to Mr. Fay. It is his property and we should all respect his property. I hope from time to time we can see photos of Yellow Medicine Dancing Boy and watch the bison grow up in our life time. Your children who are born in these years where born in the years of the white buffalo. And they share the same sun and the same moon. These are special times of hope and miracles you just have witness one. I thought that I would never see another white buffalo again. And then I seen a story about it on Yahoo news, and later my friend confirmed it. We are all excited about the good news, that the creator gave life to another white bison. Please respect the privacy of the family who owns the bison, and respect the animals on his farm.
